Landmark events

Dear LINCS members,

This March has been a rich month for our lab, and I am happy to share all the news with you !

Review of International Workshop on RIS

ERC NEMO, LINCS and the Network of the Future PEPR sponsored a two day international workshop on reconfigurable intelligent surfaces organized by François Baccelli and Marco di Renzo.

The workshop was held at Telecom Paris in Palaiseau on February 22-23, 2024.

The keynote was delivered by Prof. Mathias Fink (ESPCI, France) and ten additional lectures were be delivered by European researchers active in the field.

The topics covered a broad variety of scientific domains ranging from physics to mathematics, from control to IA, from electronics to circuits.

All talks were recorded and are now available on LINCS website !

Annual Meeting of the PEPR – Future Networks

Many LINCS members participated to this event which took place on March 20-22, 2024, where researchers from differents laboratories worked together and presented their projects to the Scientific & Technical Committee.

Here some pictures from those days :

LINCS newcomers

Grégory Blanc (IMT)

Gregory is a new associated member of LINCS. He is associate professor in networks and cybersecurity at Telecom SudParis and he is supervising Solayman Ayoubi, jointly with Prof. Sébastien Tixeuil. His research interest include network intrusion detection and attack mitigation, as well as the application of machine learning (ML) to these problems, to improve their robustness. He is willing to participate in discussions on the application of ML to network-related problems and share his knowledge about cybersecurity.

Loredana Logruosso (IMT)

Loredana is a graduating student in Communication and Computer Network Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin. Loredana is gearing up for an internship focusing on Edge Computing and augmented reality for the « augmented technician. » During the internship, she will study and implement solutions for distributed computation and resource access within Edge systems. Loredana will work on real 5G networks hosted by the Telecom Paris lab and on distributed orchestration systems like Kubernetes, aiming to evaluate a prototype deployed on a 5G network.’

Arianna Bonazza (Swapcard)

Arianna is a M2 student in Applied and Theoretical Mathematics at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL and Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy. As part of her master’s thesis, she is currently undertaking an internship at Swapcard Corporation SAS, working on adaptive algorithms to improve the quality of recommendation engines based on the one-armed bandits framework.

The Fun Zone

We should organise a moment together. Maybe we could share chocolate eggs next wednestay in room Hedy Lamarr ?

Room Hedy Lamarr (4C06)

As you might know, Hedy Lamarr is the winner of the online survey to name our shared scientific exchange room after a female scientist. She was an Austrian-born American actress (1914 – 2000), inventor of the Frequency-hopping spread spectrum, a technique used in GPS, WIFI, and Bluetooth.
